National view of pathology and radiology test results live in Wales

Life saving action after Community First Responder training

Training for Community First Responders held in an NWIS office earlier this year has proved invaluable, after one of the course attendees saved the life of a young man in Cardiff.

The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust completed the training of eight new Community First Responders (CFR) as part of an initiative for organisations to train staff with life-saving skills and support the wider NHS workforce.

GPs given access to the Welsh Clinical Portal

General practitioners in Wales are being given viewing access to the national digital patient record, the Welsh Clinical Portal (WCP), improving the patient journey between primary and secondary care. Until now, the system has only been available to clinicians directly involved with a patient's hospital care.
