What information is available through the Welsh GP Record?

A summary of important health information held in the full GP record is made available through WGPR. This includes:

  • your name, address, and contact details
  • the GP you are currently registered with
  • allergies or any adverse reactions to medication
  • current and past health problems or diagnosis
  • current medication and medication you have been prescribed in the last two years
  • results of any tests you have had in the previous year, for example, blood tests and x-rays
  • operations, vaccinations, and immunisations
  • Blood pressure readings

Examples of information that the WGPR does not allow access to (this is not exhaustive):

  • sensitive health information
  • family or social history, etc
  • private discussions you may have had with your GP
  • contraception or pregnancy-related information
